The Biggest Barrier to Leaving a Bad Relationship

Bad relationships often blind us to what’s important to us, or push us towards ignoring what we’re thinking or feeling in favor of the other person’s POV. Defensive empathy is one of the most powerful (and confusing) mechanisms people fall into when dealing with narcissistic friends, partners and family members. In this video, I share some examples of defensive empathy– and how you can recognize and break the cycle when it affects you and your relationships.

Insecure Passion and Narcissism

Insecure passion can keep you stuck in an unhealthy relationship by enhancing attraction through a general “jolt” to the nervous system, often called “arousal” (not the sexual kind). There are ways to move from insecure passion to secure passion, though. In this video, learn about the difference between insecure and secure passion, its role in attraction to narcissistic partners, how to recognize which version of passion is at play, and–even more importantly–the “cure” that helps you finally move away from unhappy relationships and towards the kind of excitement that comes with healthier relationships.
